Building Community

Lolek Theatre Company offers performing arts opportunities to Wichita youth ages 8-18. Lolek welcomes youth who desire to deepen their faith and community while sharing truth, beauty, and goodness through excellence.

The company includes students from across the greater Wichita region, and from a diverse set of schools including parochial schools, private schools, public schools, and homeschools. Students range in experience from years of vocal and dance training and semi-professional experience to students performing for their very first time.

Striving for Excellence

Lolek Theatre Company produces high-quality shows that leave audiences inspired. The young performers study the truth, beauty, and goodness contained within the story so that it comes through clearly to the audience. Students grow in faith, confidence, and community as they hold themselves and each other to a high standard.

Grounded in Faith

"Lolek" was the childhood nickname of St. John Paul II. Young Lolek loved theatre and, prior to recognizing his call to the priesthood, intended to be a professional actor. He valued art as a “cultural resistance” to the problematic ideals that were sweeping his country.

St. John Paul II, pray for us!
